 In this 2 hour workshop, I will share practical tools to switch from an ego-based communication style to a kinder, heart-centred approach that will help you make lasting, heart-felt repairs to your relationship after an argument or a fight

You will learn how to:

– Break-out of the silent-treatment pattern your relationship may have fallen into

– Self-soothe and feel more at ease before you approach your partner after a fight

– Be more receptive to listening to what your partner has to say instead of getting defensive or emotionally withdrawing

– Do self-work so that you can truly mean what you say & say what you mean in a kind, non-blaming manner

– Be authentic, honest and vulnerable with each other so you both feel fully understood & can empathize with each other

– Manage any defensiveness that may come up in yourself or in your partner during the discussion

– Take a time-out during discussion, if needed, to prevent another escalation of the argument

– Apologize in a more complete & effective manner such that the emotional injury is healed & doesn’t resurface again ….  and more

In this 2 hour workshop, I will share practical methods to switch from a judgment, ego-based communication style to a kinder, heart-centred approach that will help you truly discuss and problem solve as a unit. 

You will learn to:

– Identify the problem-areas in your communication style and understand your ego-based triggers

– Respond from the Heart rather than react from the Ego to each other 

– Be more receptive to listening to what your partner has to say instead of getting defensive or emotionally withdrawing

– Do self-work before you speak &  verbally frame your complaint  in a manner which is more likely to make your partner listen to you

– Be authentic, honest and vulnerable with each other instead of feeling you have to dominate or control each other

– Manage any defensiveness that may come up in yourself or in your partner during the discussion

– Self-regulate your emotions before speaking and while listening

– Be mindful of the need for a time-out during discussion to prevent an escalation of the argument & learn how to initiate it

– Break-out of the negative blame-game cycle or silent-treatment pattern you may have fallen into

The workshop will include a 30 minute Q & A session at the end during which participants can work on their real-life issues with me. Workshop materials include worksheets, handouts and quizzes.
